How did your month of working towards a simpler life go? Are you feeling like you have more with less?

To be honest, I didn’t simplify my life as much as I hoped to, especially in the belongings department (I acquired some awesome clothes from my mom and sister that I just couldn’t turn away), but I’ve got a plan for that and am ready to trim the excess when I’ve got the time. What’s perhaps more important for me now, however, is that I’ve simplified my travel essentials because…

We’re going on a two-and-a-half-month backpacking trip in Europe! Chase is leaving the Marines after nearly 8 years of service to attend business school, so this is the perfect opportunity for us to see more of the world. We moved out of our beautiful Virginia Beach home (so there was a lot of paring down going on, but the goal is to possess even less!) earlier this week and will be hopping across the pond over the weekend.

Over the next couple months, adventure is the name of the game. I can’t wait to learn about the different countries’ fitness, nutrition, health, and wellness practices. We’re carrying everything we need on our backs and have no plans aside from exploring, learning, relaxing, eating, drinking, enjoying, discovering the practices of other cultures, and some working too of course.

Keep up with our FdLF travels on social media and for those lucky clients who are utilizing my personalized on-demand YouTube video workouts, I know you’re excited to see all the beautiful filming locations!

So where’s Claire???

And also, what are your summer adventure plans for home or elsewhere?
